Karol's new Ridley 750

It's a Ridley 750. It's an automatic and what a dream to drive. I got it in November and have been riding it every since. It's weird not changing gears but its really fun. I have ridden every day I can possibly get away with it in our Missouri winters. Can't wait till spring and I can take some rode trips with the guys. Hope you like it.

I live in Blue Springs, MO. This is my first summer to ride a bike. My husband has been riding all of his life and I have been on the back of his for 20 years. I thought it was about time I learned myself. It has been a really bumpy road getting started. I will be really glad when I feel comfortable on the bike. I would like to have a bike that I do not have to shift gears as that seems to be my hardest thing to do. It seems to me that if I had a bike like that it would free me up to pay more attention to what is going on around me when I ride and not just thinking about shifting gears. I have already had one accident because I was talking to my husband when I took off and when I turned around to see him I popped the clutch and lost control. I hit a truck and landed on the ground and made a mess of my bike. My husband didn't want me to ride for a long time but I have gone back to it. I think I was lucky and what it taught me is to pay more attention when I'm taking off. I took one of those safety classes first to learn but I did not like it. I was older than most of the people and they told me they didn't think I should pursue it. So of course after that I was determined to learn. I told them I had recently learned how to fly and if I could learn that I could surely learn to ride a bike. I hope I was right. Congratulations to all of the brave women out there that are taking up the rather male dominated hobby.

Sincerely Karol Mulhollan
