Kerry and her 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 800

Here it is……my new bike! Ken bought me all my leathers and a new helmet for Christmas so I am set and ready to ride. I was very nervous trying out other people’s bikes as it has been a while since I rode; not to mention a bigger bike. I was so afraid I would dump someone’s bike! Fortunately, the first stop was in a very quiet retirement community with no traffic so I was able to get my bike seat back after a couple of turns around the block. (Still have trouble with right hand turns….) This was the 3^rd stop we made and it is a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 with only 2650 miles on it. It is virtually brand new. I also rode a Yamaha 650 but it really wasn’t as smooth and powerful as this one. So, we knew right away this was the one. Our weather is turning cold and a little rainy this week so we will try to go on a ride with some other people on Saturday to Nogales. I hope they can deal with a novice…..look out drivers, here I come!
